There is nothing more important than hearing and doing the will of God.
If Adam had heard and obeyed what God told him to do, mankind would never have fallen on that serious and fateful day in the Garden.
Ask God for wisdom. He will illuminate the way before you.
Scripture tells us that God is not a man that He should lie. He is faithful, trustworthy, and true in all His ways.
What do you think the Scriptures mean when God says:
“Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession.”
— Psalm 2:8 (KJV)
And what about when Jesus says:
“And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.”
“For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.”
— Luke 11:9-10 (KJV)
God desires that we continually ask, seek, and knock according to His Word and His ways. He invites us into a relationship where mysteries are revealed, wisdom is granted, and hidden things are made known.
You are to ask because it is through asking that you discover what God has prepared for you. It is through seeking that you begin to understand His purposes. It is through knocking that doors are opened and opportunities are revealed.
How can a man walk in God’s will if he never asks what that will is?
The Lord desires to guide His children. He desires to direct their steps. He desires to show them the path that leads to life and fruitfulness.
As believers, we are not called merely to know about God. We are called to know Him personally and to walk with Him daily through the leading of His Spirit.
Do not neglect this great privilege.
Ask God for wisdom. Ask Him for understanding. Ask Him for direction.
The Scriptures promise:
“If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.”
— James 1:5 (KJV)
One day Christ will return and reward every person according to his works. Therefore, let us not merely hear His words, but obey them.
I want you to know this:
Do His will, and you will find life.
Do His will, and you will find peace.
Do His will, and you will discover the purpose for which you were created.
Ask God for wisdom. He delights in giving it.
He longs to reveal Himself to those who diligently seek Him.
As He says:
“Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.”
— Jeremiah 33:3 (KJV)
