Proverbs 29:8 Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.
Listen to this speech.
By all means, listen to it again. Maybe for the first time for you, but nearly everyone has heard about this speech.
It’s only 17 and a half minutes.
From 1963 to 2023 – that’s 60 years since! See how far we’ve come as a culture, as an “America”.
Don’t tell me one man, moved by the unction of God’s Spirit, studied, learned, and willing to do the calling over his life can’t change the earth.
If MLK was able to shift the way whites think about blacks and blacks think about whites and themselves, then imagine what you can do?
Remember that sometimes, the greatest change you can make in someone’s life is a shift of their conscious mind to that which is of real importance.
Shift other people’s perspectives and perceptions about themselves from negative to positive.
This is through telling the Truth.
Be a Truth-teller, though the Truth is hard to hear and even speak at times.
But don’t do it in arrogance. Do it in the Spirit that is humble yet mighty, a Spirit of love, as Jesus Himself would do (Ephesians 4:15).
“If you can’t fly, then run. If you can’t run, then walk. If you can’t walk, then crawl, but whatever you do, you have to keep moving.” – Martin Luther King Jr.
